Warming Huts, 2016 |
back to projects |
A suspended blank billboard in the snow, an idealized reproduction of a landscape, a “bonsai” composed of miniature mountains and a symbolically rectangular sky.
Approaching it one passes through a transitional zone between the snow mountains, a secret
passage, a covered shelter. Few steps further a hidden valley reveals itself.
A Shangri-La, a secluded,
meditative area that enshrines a treasure, not quite what the gold diggers were looking for years ago in that area, but rather a symbolic object to meditate on while gazing at the framed sky with new eyes.
